Well its in the name! They are little pieces of wax infused with a fragrance, that you melt to allow the scent to fill your space. Similar to a candle just without the wick!
You will need a wax melt warmer to use your Middle Shaw Melts.
What are wax melts?
What is a wax melt warmer?
Wax melt warmers can also be known as wax melt burners, essential oil burners and aroma burners.
They are a decorative device (usually ceramic) with some sort of heating source, whether it be electric or a tea light candle, that has a bowl to melt the wax in and allow the fragrance to fill the room it is in.
Please only use warmers approved for wax melts. Never leave your wax melt warmer unattended, in the reach of children or pets. Please be extra careful if your wamer is heated by a tea light candle, as you will have a flame, never leave your warmer near flammable sources.
How do I use wax melts?
Wax melts are super easy to use and are a great alternative to candles
Simply place your wax melts in your warmer and let them melt to make your space smell amazing! We recommened only using your wax wamer up to 4 hours at a time. After multiple uses the fragrance will disperse into the air and eventually you will be left with wax that does not smell anymore, simply dispose of the old wax and refill your melter. Please don't add more melts to your old wax as you may overflow your melter.
Each of our products will recommend the amount of melts to use and how long they will last.
How long do wax melts last?
Shot Pots
Our shot pots last roughly 20 to 27 hours. We recommend using 1/2 to the whole shot pot at a time (This is a sample size)
Wax Melt Bars
Our Wax Melt Bars last roughly 55 to 70 hours. We recommend using 1-2 cubes at a time
Pebbles
A bag of our Wax Melt Pebbles last roughly 280 to 370 hours. We recommend using 45 pebbles at a time, roughly 2 tablespoons
Novelty Wax Melts
A tin of our Novelty Wax Melts last roughly 120 to 160 hours. We recommend using 4-5 pieces at a time
Please note - The amount of wax depends on the size of your wax warmer, please be careful not to overflow your device. The strength of fragrances will differ in different spaces.

The Pot Shot, which is a small sample size amount of wax, roughly 20 to 27 hours, perfect to test scents before comitting to anything bigger.
The Wax Melt Bar which is the perfect all round size and will last 55 to 70 hours.
The Wax Melt Pebbles, which is a decent sized bag of wax pebbles, essentially a way to buy in bulk, last roughly 280 to 370 hours.

Can I sample a fragrance?

Our Pot Shots hold the perfect amount of wax to sample the scents from our Signature Fragrance Collection, only $2.00! Simply pop the wax out of the container and into your melter. Our pot shots last 20 - 27 hours!
Are the melts really handmade?
Yes! All of our melts are handpoured right here on Hillside Station, using clean melting soy wax and the highest quality fragrances.
We even hand make the molds for our Novelty Melts.
Why do my melts looks slightly waxy/frosted?
Frosting or the white waxy substance on your melts is something that happens to Soy wax and is actually a sign that we use high quality 100% soy wax! It is purely cosmetic and will not affect the quality of your melts at all!
My wax melts have melted during transit, what do I do?
We have tested our wax melts, sending them to the other side of Australia and back and all have returned in their original condition!
However, we are a new business and understand anything can happen to a package once it leaves us. If your wax melts have arrived melted, please contact us immediatly and we will either replace or refund your order! (With picture proof please)
We also endeavour to post orders early in the week so they don't sit around over the weekend.
How long will shipping take? And do you ship internationally?
We post our orders roughly 1-2 times a week, as we are roughly 250km from our nearest post office.
All of our wax melts are handmade right here on Hillside Station which is amazing but isolated, we understand that this isn't the fastest shipping rate and we appreciate your patience and understanding!
All of our orders are sent through Auspost with tracking, postage is calculated at checkout, or we offer free standard shipping if you spend $150 or more
Unfortunately we do not offer International Shipping at this time.
